The Siskiyou Mountain Film Tour will premiere at the Varsity Theatre in downtown Ashland, OR, featuring three short films:
-
Grimes Goes Wild follows 2024 intern Chloe Grimes as she makes her way through a season restoring trails and making connections.
-
Mountaintop Legacy: Learn how a local district ranger and SMC volunteers led the effort to rebuild a fire lookout that burned in 2020, and many said would never be resurrected.
- National Forests Now: Over the last 30 years, the management of national forests have made seismic shifts. 2025 could eclipse it all, marking the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one.
Doors open at 6:30pm with a red carpet and photo op with Bigfoot.
Accessible early seating will begin at 6:45pm and general seating will start at 7pm. After the screening, filmmaker Vincent DiFrancesco will answer audience questions. The program runs about an hour, with an afterparty at Growler Guys (345 Lithia Way), just a few blocks away. Bring in your ticket stub for $1 off your first pint.
Tickets will be mailed or available for pickup at our storefront (106 Talent Ave, Talent, OR open Wed - Sat from 11 - 6) prior to the event.
