Today, submissions open for the first inaugural Siskiyou Mountain Club Photo Contest, with $450 of total prize money for winners.

The contest has three categories: Recreation, Landscape, and Flora and Fauna. Participants can submit one image to each category. Read more details about the categories here.
Submissions open August 5, 2026, and the close on October 31, 2026.
Four finalists per category (12 in total) will be chosen by our staff judges. The finalists will be announced on November 7, 2026. Photos will be assessed on composition, content, and creativity.
Following the selection of four finalists per category, the community will vote to choose one winner per category (3 in total).
Voting opens on November 9, and closes on December 7, 2026.
Those who participate in the vote will automatically be entered into a raffle for a free SMC hoodie and map set!
The three category winners will be announced at our holiday party on December 10, 2026.
PRIZES!
The twelve finalists will receive:
- A print of their photograph displayed at the Siskiyou Outdoor Store.
- A social media shoutout on Instagram and Facebook.
