Forest Service Saw Program

We provide technical training opportunities for volunteers, professionals, partner groups, and others to gain the experience necessary to confidently operate a chainsaw or crosscut saw with an emphasis on trail restoration and maintenance. The program is part of the USDA Forest Service’s National Crosscut and Chainsaw Program, allowing us to issue Forest Service saw certification cards at the appropriate level.

We aim is to empower community members to take the next step in caring for their favorite trails. We also aspire to provide a resource for field professionals, nonprofit groups, agencies, and others who need a USDA Forest Service saw certification card.
