The Wilderness Corps
Each year a group of interns come from across the country to spend a summer restoring trails in the national forests of southwest Oregon and northwest California.The entry level position provides opportunities for interns to gain job experience in the outdoors, develop confidence and strong work habits, and explore this remote corner of the Pacific Northwest.
Terms & Housing
Interns earn a $1,800 monthly stipend and we provide accommodations for off days. They backpack into project sites miles from the nearest trailhead and spend up to two weeks at a time clearing trails damaged by wildfire and threatened by maintenance neglect.
