Hikes & Outings with Siskiyou Mountain Club

Siskiyou Mountain Club organizes group hikes, backpacking trips, and other outings to share our region's public lands the communities we serve and grow support for our mission. Joining us for an outing is a great way to connect with the outdoors, experience amazing places, and have fun with great people!

Some hikes and outings are available to the public, others are for members only, and that information is included on the trip description on our calendar of events. In some cases, there may be required prerequisites including physical fitness requirements and recent backpacking experience.

A donation is always politely suggested to help cover the costs of travel and staff time organizing and leading hikes and outings.

All participants must fill out the same registration as a volunteer, which includes emergency contact and other important information.

After signing up via email for a trip, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. Within 7 - 10 days before the trip commences, you will receive another email that includes gear lists and all necessary details. A final communication will be sent out 48 - 72 hours before the trip commences that includes weather and any last details.

We move forward with trips rain or shine, but will cancel to sleet, heavy wind, or hazardous conditions. If you must cancel a trip, please do so as early as possible.
